We are looking to get work done on the exterior of our basement wall Spring 2015. It is not leaking or rotted. We just need the exterior wall sheathing (moisture barrier) replaced/repaired? on one side of the house so it does not start leaking or rotting. We want to get estimates now so we are ready to go in the Spring. Has anyone had this type of work done? Any recommendations?

You're looking at tens of thousands depending on what all you want done. I know a neighbor had external work done, not sure who with, but they excavated around the entire foundation to put in new weeping tile and I think also the membrane on the wall itself, and the cost was close to $27,000.

We had water in our basement, so last year Terry excavated the whole exterior of our house and installed Blueskin and weeping tile for a fraction of what we were quoted from other companies. We were actually considering spending $20,000+ to fix the problem and Terry charges way less! He pulls all the appropriate permits, so everything is inspected. Call him! We are so glad we did! I did my first house myself, rented a little hoe from C&C rentals, put in tile, rock, heavy poly and tar...couldn't use Blue Skin because older foundation that only had forms on the inside and used the earth as the outer form so the walls weren't smooth on the outside.  
Was pretty cheap doing it myself...didn't have an issue at all..  
Also I used High and Dry from Home Building Center for the inside walls too...

Thanks so much. It is nice to get a first hand recommendation and we will definitely call him to try and get his estimate.

Terry from Daves do it right construction did my house a few years back and a friend of mines this past summer. Neither of us have had issues since! He priced the job fairly and worked diligently. I totally recommend him.
