I recently purchased a polyester couch in nominally great condition. However, there are hard spots on the fabric from spilled drinks and sweat/grease stains. As I said, couch itself is fine, but I'd like to breath new life into it. The sides are still velvety smooth and I want the rest of it to be like that.  
 
Does anyone know any business in Brandon which cleans couches? Preferably one that either does it in home or comes and picks it up? Or failing that, does anyone know any way to clean those lizard scale-like spots out of a 100% polyester couch?

Did you check if the covers come off the cushions? The last few couches I have owned have had zippers and could just machine wash.  
 
Is the couch microfiber? From google/pinterest searches it suggests spraying with rubbing alcohol and drying/rubbing with a white towel (as not to transfer color from a colored towel). I've tried this and it's worked well for me. Or you could rent a carpet cleaning machine and try that?

If it's a microfiber couch, as above, if the covers come off, throw them in the washer. If they dont or the arms etc are dirty I just buy a new dollarstore cheapo dish scrub brush, and use a bucket of water with laundry detergent and give them a scrub with the brush, and a cloth if necessary. Then blow dry them while brushing them with the scrub brush to get the pile/texture back. I've tried the rubbing alcohol method, didnt work. Ive also used a bissell lil green steam cleaner, but to get them to dry without water marks you have to wet the entire area evenly which was too much bother, and they take forever to dry.

It's a 85-90% Polyurethane/15-10% polyester blend. Tag's pretty worn so I can't get some of it off clearly. Clean Code W, so I can wash the cushion coverings just fine, but unfortunately there's little hard spots on the arm rests and top of the back rests that I'll have to try getting at with the water and detergent method. I'm a little weary of some of the internet solutions (vinegar, rubbing alcohol) in case it permanently wrecks the material.

Not the only thing they are good at. They worked their magic on my carpets and tile too!! Friends had their area rugs done as well, UNBELIEVABLE results!!
