We are looking at getting some estimates on having our home sided. I looked at some old threads and have contacted a couple different places for quotes. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Rainbow Eavestroughing steel siding? If so, would you be able to send me a picture of the job or let us drive by and see in person? If anyone can recommend some other reputable installers, it would be appreciated. We are leaning away from vinyl, but I guess it would depend on the price. Thanks!

We used Rainbow for some eavestroughing work a few years ago and we were very dissatisfied - any eavestroughing work we've needed since then has been with Able Eavestroughing and we were very satisfied. We also had Home Building Centre do a vinyl siding job on a previous home and we had problems galore with their work - not all the siding was the same color and they were reluctant to remedy the problem - the siding was also attached too tightly and we had lots of warping problems when the outside temp reached 30 degrees - they did eventually replace a lot of the siding but very reluctantly. So, they definitely do not get my recommendation.  
 
Hopefully you'll find a good contractor who will stand behind their work. I have seen some very good siding jobs but don't know who did the work.

I would recommend South End Lumber. They did the work for me on my house and I am cery satisfied wity the job they did. Plus when it was done, the owner showed up and went over the finished project with me to make sure that I was satisfied.
