Hi. I have a water cooler in my home. The brand name is Polar. It has a built in hot water heater for tea and things like that. I never use this heater. Sometimes in the night or randomly any time really it just turns on and heats itself up. I am sure that can't be safe so I just have the entire cooler unplugged and drink my cold water room temperature.  
 
I have looked everywhere online for instructions on how to turn that feature off with no answer. There are no switches on the back except for cold water temperature.  
 
Any suggestions on how I can turn it off? Thanks.

switch in the back for the hot water. (Do you have manual) or look online. Otherwise the reservoir will continue to keep it at a certain degree of hot because of a thermo-resistor. Similar to a like a Keurig or Bunn coffee maker.  
 
Some people have gotten rid of theirs due to electric dangers associated with the heater function. I cannot verify this. Just second hand info.

The manual is missing and I can't find a thing online. There is no switch on the back at all that I can see. You would think there would be one but none that I can see.

I found the manual but it does not seem to have a way to permanently turn it off. <:img src=:images/icon_frown.gif>:
