I am in need of some electrical advice. I changed a ceiling light fixture and now it won't turn off when I flip the wall switch, it stays on constantly once the breaker is turned back on. The old light did turn off and the new one doesn't. I have changed many light fixtures previously in the house without fail. This time no success. I have 2 black, 2 white and 1 red wire coming from the house and the light fixture has 3 black and 3 white (for the 3 light fixture). It should be a simple fix but it is eluding me. Thanks.

The 3 black from the fixture should go to the red of the house wiring. Whites should all be on the white. The black of the house wiring will be live all the time.

Always best to hire a licensed electrician for safety's sake but all the Black on the light go together all the white go together... Which wire did you connect the black light wires to in the box

The red is usually the switched wire, just tie the three blacks from the fixture to the red, the whites from the fixture to the two other whites, and leave the two blacks together by themselves
