Does anyone know who does Asbestos testing around Brandon and what the approximate cost is?  
While I am on the topic how about safe mold removal?

I'm a realtor here in Westman and about a year and a half ago, I had a house listed that possibly had asbestos tape around some ductwork in the basement. We carefully took a sample and sent it away to a lab in Ontario. We paid for the expedited service, so had the results fairly quickly. I can't remember the exact amount but I'm quite sure that even with paying extra for faster results, it cost less than $200.  
 
I believe that both Winmar and possibly Cancade do safe mould removal locally, although I think both are quite busy. Winmar's number is:728-6007 and Cancade: 204-728-8909.

I believe for all our asbestos testing it is sent to a company in Winnipeg. Don't recall the name. I know we use the pinchin company for the air quality tests after abatements are done.  
If I recall mould is treated much as asbestos is in regards to remediation.  
As mentioned power vac ((204)725-2886) does asbestos removals Aswell as professional flooring ((204)724-7727)  
Can't hurt to call around for prices and most places that do the removals can also have your samples sent away for you Aswell

My suggestion is to go with Cancade.  
 
This is not a project that you can take lightly and Cancade will do a very good job for you.  
 
Anyone can call themselves "remediation" companies, but having seen a couple of them in action you should check references and certification for something as health sensitive as this.  
 
Cancades' experience will serve you well.

they usually just sub-out that type of work to Power-Vac, I don't think they have anyone in house certified to do asbestos work. but I may be wrong
