I have a free spirit treadmill thats a few years old, it needs repair/not sure if its worth fixing or where to take it. It just continues to speed up as fast as it can go.  
Not sure if its a lost cause, I feel like it is worth fixing as opposed to just trashing it - come up with nothing so far regarding repairs.  
 
Any help appreciated thanks.

Could try the manufacturer. I didn't this for my treadmill from canadian tire and they sent me replacement parts calling over the phone. There isn't much to go wrong with these things.

We took ours to a place in Brandon to have the motor fixed

Sounds like the speed increase button is stuck

Something fell off in the motor and now it accelerates without any control. Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it!

U could always purchase one that I have for sale... I really, really wanted one... Had every right intention on using it... Honest! When I got it I loved it, it made such a great place to hang my clothes after I ironed it.

Was it the motor he had repaired? I am looking for someplace to repair the motor on my treadmill.
