Hello everyone.  
Wondering if someone here knows anything about sewage ejectors or can you recommend a company that I could contact regarding an issue with my ejector system. Thx

Just curious what the problem is, if you know your pump is running and making pressure, one thing that seems to happen is the ejector sometimes makes a pellet that seems like clay and it gets stuck in the part at the bottom of the ejector. They use a ventura effect in the bottom to keep the outer pipe free of sewage water.  
If you explain what exactly is happening could maybe be more specific in what to do to fix the problem.

It seems like its plugged. Hooked on a hose to bypass it and it works just fine. Put it back to normal and the pump just keeps running without shutting off and septic tank is still full even after pumping for half an hour

It sounds like the ejector itself is plugged. Most of the ones I have dealt with have the cap on the large pipe held on with a couple of screws, take the screws out and pull the cap and centre pipe out, on the bottom of the pipe is a piece that's about 8 inches long and it usually plugs in the small opening in the bottom. A small piece of wire can be used to clean out this part. When putting the pipe back in make sure it is at the same level and has seated itself in the bottom.

If you do want to have a plumber look at it, but want to lower the level in your septic tank, you can pull the cap and centre pipe and start it up and it will just overflow out of the large outer pipe. It's ok to do this at this time of the year, but don't do it when it's -40 out because the outer pipe will remain full of water.

Just as an aside to my neighbor, Don Brown, don't let anyone flush tampons down the toilet. The strings plug up the ejector and leads to upset husbands. Voice of experience

What don says is sure to be the problem. The little rock like thing that is prob plugging is is buildup on the pipes fro the minerals in the water. As an addition to what don says I would pull out the ejector tube and then run the pump for a bit. You will see if the sewage rises in the large pipe meaning nothing else's is plugged plus it will flush out any more things that could be waiting to plug it. Don't apply air pressure at the pump end. I did that once and it loosened up a whole lot of crap sand I had to leave the ejector tube out for a long time to flush the line. The stuff flushed out will just lay in the bottom of the large pipe.

We've had Victory Plumbing out to look at our ejector system. Mike and his employee are very knowledgeable!!

You gave the perfect advise. I also know about this issue because it happened to me several times. Saved money and did it myself. Very easy to do.
