I think what Dale is referring to are the DriCor panels. They are available at Home Depot (maybe other lumber stores but I haven't noticed them). You can check out the product on the DriCor website or YouTube.
As a note, the DriCor subfloor is meant to be level meaning that you would have to shim it around the floor drain, assuming the floor is sloped. It does provide the separation between the concrete and flooring so you can use whatever floor covering you want, including laminate. It also gives a bit of insulating value helping to keep the floor warmer. I believe DriCor also makes an insulated subfloor panel if you wanted.
I haven't bought any in a while, but I think the cost was around $6.50 - $7 / 2×2 panel.
