Hiking trails, horse wagon ride, picnic, beach at Spruce Woods park  
 
Lots to do at Riding Mountain Park  
 
Minnedosa Beach  
 
Souris pool, eat at the woodfire deli, etc  
 
Pool/waterslide at Portage  
 
Go strawberry picking, make jam  
 
Austin Museum, Thresherman's Reunion  
 
Look for small town fairs, parades etc  
 
Winnipeg: waterslides, The Forks, Tinkertown, zoo, trampoline/bounce places, Rainbow stage, etc.  
 
Visit local museums such as Daly House, the one at the airport, or travel to others such as Elkhorn  
 
Horseback riding

Check out the Westman Wilderness Club. They have hikes and activities throughout the summer (and winter). http://www.westmanwildernessclub.ca/  
 
Brandon Hills is a good hiking location.  
 
Closer to home for walking is Assiniboine Food Forest with the benefit of ice cream at Crowes General Store at the end (or beginning!)
