baby has decided she wants belly sleeping

the last 2 nights have been rough. All of a sudden she just wont stay asleep. then this morning after trying everything else, i put her on her belly on my chest... POOF asleep in minutes, she woke up this morning, happy and ready for her bottle... and when she fell asleep, again woke up crying(she was on her back) put her on her belly, and again. asleep and content for the next 3 hours.
now i KNOW they are saying no belly sleeping anymore. but when i had my kids, we always put them on their bellies (this is my grand-daughter) how many moms out there notice more comfy belly sleeps? anyone?
