Teen Parents

Over the last few years it seems to me the amount of teen pregnancies have risen in Brandon. I personally know of at least 30 girls from high school or friends of friends that have become young parents. I feel as though nobody is really talking about it, so I'd like to pose a few questions.
Why are teens getting pregnant? I.e. unsafe sex practices or perhaps practicing safe sex but accidents are occuring? Or is it a conscious choice to have children early in life?
Why or why not do young mothers choose to take the parenting route as opposed to abortion, adoption, etc.?
If there are any young mothers here, do you have any advice or regrets for other teens?
I am not anti-teen motherhood, but rather a curious person wanting to figure out this seemingly increasing trend. ALSO REGARDLESS OF YOUR STANCE ON ABORTION ... if you want to have a pro/con abortion debate take it elsewhere please!
