What did you have when you had kids? What was your experience like?  
 
I had a different doctor with my first 2 kids. The first doctor was awesome, but I felt that the second one seemed to want to push you out the door after he was done. Leaving NO time to ask any questions etc.  
 
I had a midwife with my third kid. If I had know how GREAT they are, I would have gone with them for my first 2. Your appointments are longer, leaving time to chat, they acted more like a friend (in a professional manner), and never critisize you or put you down in any way. They looked after me for 6 weeks after birth also. And they are not at all invasive like the public health nurses are. I absolutely loved it.
