I would think that something like a gift certificate for a spa day would be very appreciated .. if not for a whole day, perhaps just for a massage? Jewelry is always nice too.

I'm not on board with the new push present trend, buttttt a family member bought his wife a ring with the babies birthstone and I thought that was a nice gift.

Gift certificates for things like, getting hair done, nails done, etc. Things you may not be able to afford after you've just had a baby, but trust me a month later, they'll be exhausted and a little pampering will make a huge difference! I also like the birth stone / jewelry idea. I got a mom necklace for Mother's Day one year with my child's birth stone and I absolutely love it.

Never heard of this. It used to be the man bought the woman some roses after delivery. Now they have to shop for a gift?

4 kids later and I have yet to receive anything from my husband. Never heard of such a thing...
