I believe there are far more of us private home providers vs licensed. Private are allowed 2 under 2 years old and licensed are allowed 3. This really causes a shortage for infant spots right there. I can't remember the number off hand but even the number of infants spots for all of the centres is quite low.
For a child over the age of 2, it gets easier. However, subsidy spots are also in demand because private can't offer this,
