Other than Claire's where else does children's ear piercing? What is the price of this now a days ?

Hair Today Mall Barbers. Ear rings $8.50. Piercing $20.50, Must have parent or guardian present to sign release form. Make an appointment ask for Mandy Joel.

Ardene in the mall or Corral Centre does it.

MagicCuts on 18th (beside Bulk Barn) took my 7-year old there and the ladies were great with her. Pricing very reasonable (was total $28 approx.). I wouldn't hesitate to go to Hair Today Mall Barbers either. Need to book an appointment  
I personally would rather go to a salon rather than Ardene's or Claire's for piercing - but that is my own preference.

What's the age minimum at these places? Or is there none aslong as parents consent?

If you truly want your money's worth, take it from an individual who has body modifications of her own throughout the years. Any salon, Ardene or Claire's DOES NOT properly sanitize piercing gun/equipment. At an establishment, and I HIGHLY RECCOMEND Adam's Body Art, the equipment and hypodermic needles are autoclaved to a heat killing any/all pertinent "germs". Parental consent still required, and of course, a youngster would have to sit very still for the procedure, but in the long run, it makes for a much prettier piercing!

they do. Like I said - you'd have to book an appointment.

Any piercing will require an appointment. I'm aiming for what (personally) one should choose for the most sanitary procedures for their child!

We took all three of our girls to Claire's and never had a problem. Ears healed without a single problem! There was two girls who pierced at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Tattoo shops will actually not pierce any child under 14 even with parental consent.

You teach a young child the RESPONSIBILITY of caring for their piercing, whether it's their ears or otherwise! Adam's Body Art will pierce a child with parental consent at any age. You are then given pamphlets on piercing aftercare, which, if followed correctly, will not pose any problems for healing of the piercing site. It would be the same if ears were pierced at a less than sanitary place (in a mall or salon), the aftercare is key! The only HUGE DIFFERENCE is that an establishment with CERTIFIED body modification technicians has fully sterilized and autoclaved equipment. The hypodermic needle removes a channel of flesh during the piercing process, which is a HELL OF ALOT more sterile than a gun that just punches through the flesh with (God knows what level?) of unknown bacteria from prior customers, etc. But hey, people will choose what they wish....sad thing is the unhealthy/unsanitary means of going about something are usually chosen due to the money required or they are not FULLY INFORMED! These posts are seriously bad advertising for the named business. I tend to avoid people with anger issues.  
 
I have used both Claire's and Ardene for kids' piercing and they were wonderful and also a nice environment to bring a child into.

Simply trying to strongly deliver the point that choosing a body modifications technician is a much better investment! It has absolutely nothing to do with advertising for "named establishment"....really people????? The mentioned business would be proud I'm conveying the truth on this issue/thread. Have you taken the time to step out of your comfortable little boxed-in world to enter a Body Modification studio? Trust me, they'd make you just as comfortable, if not more so than the mall! I wouldn't expect those shallow minded individuals of society that deliver sideways glances at those of us unique and strong-willed enough to express ourselves through our bodies becoming the canvas to understand at all. I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours. Body modifications (tattoos/piercings) are one of the things you take to the grave. Having them does not make you a thug or delinquent. It's ART. Art is about creativity. Some people hang their art. We wear ours!

I would really suggest getting it done by a professional. I'm not sure what Adam's policy is though. I get all mine done at Adam's. He's such a friendly guy and does a great job. That being said I never had an issue with my ears being pierced with a gun, just make sure they're sterile!  
 
Also make sure to wash the piercing with salt water and not alcohol! Alcohol kills all the good germs leaving the skin more susceptible to infection.  
 
Whichever way you choose is up to you, everyone has their own opinions!

people have been getting piercings done for years and years!  
I know people who have had them done in the mall, tattoo shop, I got mine done in a small town hospital. With correct aftercare it does not really matter who does it. Back in the day people used hot needles, I don't know any that had their ear fall off, or any serious consequences. Go where you feel comfortable and make sure your daughter is mature enough to look after them.

I had my girls done at ten months both at hair today in the mall... Found them excellent and never ever had any trouble. I preferred to get it done at that age as it was easy for me to clean and care for them as they fell asleep nursing. Had much more trouble with my oldest who I had done when she was old enough to start asking for them. She didn't enjoy the turning and cleaning. Found it much better to do young. That's just my opinion to which everyone is entitled... That's where we went and never had any infections or troubles of any kind. They give you the cleaning kit and explain how to care for them etc.

gone both routes, and I would also agree that an actual piercing shop is the way to go. If you do go the gun route instead of a proper piercing you are increasing your risk of keloids as the gun just rips through flesh instead of making a clean hole. Yes aftercare can prevent you from getting infections but the trauma caused to the tissue can't be undone.  
 
I know most people only think about keloids in relation to cartilage piercings, but they happen just as easily on the ear lobe when done with a gun, and trust me keloid removal on a child is not a fun adventure.  
 
Don't take chances & get it done right would be my advice.
