Hello,  
 
I am looking for some solid input on dentists in Brandon as I need new dentist for my children.....  
 
I have tried a couple now, and still don't see the right fit with my children.  
 
Have you found someone for your kids who is gentle, patient, down-to-earth AND perhaps, somewhat younger and 'fresher' when it comes to approach and knowledge?  
 
Please let me know how long your kids have been with the dentist and if you feel your child is given what they need in terms of care and age-appropriate information to help them feel comfortable.  
Are they sincere? Are they child-centered?

I take all four of my kids (ranging from 1.5 to almost-10) - including my daughter with autism - to Town Centre Dental. They've seen both Dr. Zuninga and Dr. Commons, and both have been excellent. The hygenists have all been great with the kids too... mine fight over who gets their turn first!  
 
I used to take my daughter with autism to a special children's dentist in Winnipeg, but I didn't find it was anything special. We've only had positive experiences at Town Centre.

Dr. Pappas at chancellor dental. He is awesome with kids. Has lots of patience.

I have a high anxiety child (who was terrified of the dentist). It made for very stressful visits.  
 
We ended up taking her to Children's Dental World in Winnipeg and we are SO glad that we did. The entire office is child-friendly and everything is at the child's height (including the receptionist's desk). The dental staff is patient, funny, and genuinely kind. They built a solid relationship of trust with her that she even looks forward to going now (even after having to have dental work done).

You won't regret seeing Dr. MacIntosh at Princess Dental. He has all but eliminated my son's fear of dentists! Not only is he awesome, but also the hygienists are very compassionate as well.

I second children's dental world in Winnipeg. Our daughter needed to get some work done when she was younger and were referred there. It is so incredibly kid oriented and completely put her at ease. Some of the fillings she had they didn't even need to freeze and the ones that did, I don't think she even knew there was a needle involved.  
 
They explain everything to the kids, in their terms, so it's not as scary, also let them see and touch the tools. It's a great experience so we still take her there, even though she no longer has any issues.

I took my daughter to Victoria Dental when she turned 2 and she loved it. I forget which doctor we saw....but everyone there was awesome

If Winnipeg is too far, there's an amazing dentist that visits Minnedosa/Neepawa area named Craig Fedorowich. He is so good with kids.

The staff here are amazing with my child. They use words that aren't scary to describe experience, i.e. sleepy juice for freezing, raincoat for the drape.  
We thought our child would have to go to Winnipeg for appointment for fear, but the staff sat down and described the equipment and the process using the non scary words and my child was able to settle and go through a cavity filling with ease.  
They are both very gentle and kind I was quite relived when I didn't have to do the Winnipeg trip in the end.  

go to Dr. Randy Yahiro at Crocus Dental. He is super gentle and slow with the kids to make them feel comfortable. our 3 yr old loves going to see him, and the ladies who work the desk and do the cleanings are very friendly and great with the kids as well.

If you haven't seen the right fit for your children, perhaps a pediatric dentist specialist would be more appropriate.  
 
I'd vouche for Children's Dental World in Winnipeg. They're fantastic! It may be a bit of a drive, but sometimes we have to travel a bit more to find what's appropriate for us.

Dental! We see Dr. Zuniga and would not see anyone else! He has been awesome with my son, he is young and up to date. He is super gentle, patient and comes up with the best treatment plan with you. We have seen Dr. Commons and we personally, would not recommend her for children. Good luck in finding the best suited dentist for your child, it can be a tough decision sometimes as everyone has their own personal experience.
