Just wondering where people are finding their nannies. Is there a main website that one can go to? I'm looking for a nanny for only 2 days a week, is that going to be impossible to find? Any advice would be appreciated!

I have advertised on here and on facebook and haven't been able to find anyone. I'm looking for full time, I've called a few places with no luck. I've been offering full use of my vehicle, food, and a place to stay if needed. Really hard to find anyone.

Hiring a nanny makes you an employer and even if they work as a subcontractor, you have to treat hiring a nanny as you would any other professional. Nannies are not babysitters. I have had two nannies that job-share a full time position for over 2 years now and they are valuable members of my team.  
 
Just like any other job make sure yiu know exactly what is expected of them, write down a job description so prospective hires know what they are applying for.  
 
Also put a great deal of thought into the pay you are offering. Having responsibility for your home and children is not a minimum wage job and you normally won't attract applicants with that amount, even if there are other perks.

Aupairworld.com. Usually between 19-30 years of age and usually from other countries and wanting to travel Canada and this is a way for them to make money and room and board. Works out to be the same price as day care.

I see two classified ad's posted today of people that want to be nanny's.
