I am in a dilemma...my husband and I would like to starT trying for a baby. However, one of my best friends is getting married and I have been asked to be in the wedding party. The dilemma: she is having a destination wedding next winter and if we go we will have to wait 6 months after we come back to start trying...there's no right or wrong answer but just looking for opinions on what to think about for this decision as if we get pregnant we won't be able to go to the wedding.

Just do it. If your waiting for the perfect time to have a baby, it's never going to happen. People put off having kids for all reasons wether it's career related or till they buy a house or whatever. Yours is for a friends wedding. Just have a baby and deal with it then. If you can't go to the wedding oh well, they should be happy for you. Having kids is the best thing that happened to me and I don't regret a single minute of it.

I think something to consider is that trying can take longer than you think sometimes. Speaking from experience, it can take a lot longer haha  
 
So if you do end up waiting until 6 months after the wedding to start trying, just remember it can take another few months to, a year or more to actually get pregnant. If you are really wanting to have a baby sooner rather than later, maybe now is the time to start trying. On the other hand, a baby changes your whole life. If you want to have a destination vacation and celebrate with your friends before you settle down to have baby, do it. It's your life, just make sure you make the decision for you and your husband not because you may feel bad for not making it to the wedding.  
 
I had a couple trips away, destination weddings etc before getting pregnant and I'm happy that I did since we were in no real hurry for a baby even though we had been talking about trying. Again, just as you said, there is no right or wrong decision. Whatever will make you happy.
