The radio station that originally had decided to pull that song from the radio has since decided to put the song back on the airway because of all the backlash. I think all is well with the song now

I was happy they pulled it because I just don't like it and it's not a Xmas song anyway. Personally found it boring.
But as for being offensive, is it any worse than "Grandma got ran over by a reindeer"??

Pawprints said "You know the contraversy over the song "Baby It's Cold Outside"? Some people think it's not appropriate, others think it is such an old song that it isn't relevant to today, and some just choose to ignore it all together.

The movie Elf was on today. The song was sung twice. Once during the shower scene and then during closing credits. Do you think Elf will be banned from being a Christmas movie because of the song or do you think the song will be voiced over with another or???

Everyone has their own thoughts about everything. But, it is to the point that you can not say or do anything without it being turned around. I say Merry Christmas to everyone because that is my right, no one will take that away from me. Why does everything have to be ripped apart. This is a free country, you have the right to your opinion but you DON'T have the right to tell me what mine must be.

In a world where you can near-effortlessly choose the media you're exposed to, what a radio or television station chooses to do should hardly be newsworthy. If a radio station plays or doesn't play something? Who cares? You can pop in your Elf blu-ray, fire up the song you want to listen to on Youtube or whatever.

It's not even a controversy. It's just a sham excuse for some people to be mad at others.

In regards to Santa being banned, Christmas was actually banned in England and US (new world at that time), and funny enough "Santa" as we know him today (red suit and jolly) wasn't actually who santa was until around 1931 when Coca-cola started advertising him as such, adapting him from a poem written in 1822. Prior to all this santa clause and Christmas has a really dark past. So banning the whole thing isn't too far off. Maybe for different reasons than "baby it's cold outside" but, it is all interesting none the less
