2009 as come and gone, and looking back on 2009, what was your favourite concert of 2009. In general, my favourite "concert" was actually the Western Canadian Music Awards in September. It brought dozens and dozens of bands that would have never played Brandon in their life to town for the weekend.  
 
My favourite shows of the festival is tied between Dan Mangan, and up and coming folk-rock musician from Vancouver who is actually on a very successful world tour right now thanks to winning the XM Verge artist of the year award (only days after the WCMAs). Also, another favourite of mine was Library Voices from Saskatoon, an amazing upbeat rock band. I doubt they'll ever come back to Brandon ever again but they put on some amazing shows here in town!
