When your child bites, do you bite him back?

When she slaps, do you slap her back?
If so, is this taking it too far?
What about when it's someone else's child?
This Texas teacher was fired for encouraging kids to hit back...
"A teacher in Houston was fired after encouraging her students to punch a 5-year-old classmate while on a field trip to Chuck E. Cheese!
The boy had punched a little girl in the face, so the teacher thought it would teach him a lesson if all the other kids hit him back! Before boarding the van back to school, she told all the children to take a punch at the boy before they got on the van!
Apparently the little boy is somewhat of a bully and that was the second time a teacher in the school asked another child to hit him back — insane!
There are other ways to deal with a problem child and as an institute of EDUCATION one would think they would employ different strategies than "an eye for an eye!"
The mother of the little boy withdrew her son from the school and the teacher in question did get fired after his family filed a formal report."
