Anyone know how to copyright a song for free?

I have a few songs Ive written over the years that I've played for the biker community and they seem to enjoy them. Back in the day Theory of a Deadman wanted to use one of them but I refused (not enough cash). I just wanna copyright it so I can post them to youtube. Thanks for any help you can give.
