Christmas a depressing time for homeless and mental health people

Is there any people who still know that Christmas is for sharing with fun,family, food. Christmas now has totally become materialistic. Let's see how many "Joneses" we can surpass. I find it very frustrating sitting on committee after committee going to the meetings and yet once again no action occures. People do not come because they are too busy!! And alas Christmas is coming and so the next meeting will not occur until January!
I really thiink it is time to close off some of these committees who are wasting money and could be put to good use actually helping people NOW TODAY.
