Anyone have any information on how a family would go about applying to receive a Christmas Hamper?

I called Samaritan House this morning and found out that you can apply there. You need to bring your MB Health Card and their appointment times are Monday-Friday at 10am-11am or from 1pm-230pm. They also have Tuesday evenings from 4-6pm for those people who work or are in school.  
 
The above link says to go to your church or etc. For new comers or people who don't have those supports or attend those places, I knew there had to be another option.

Does Samaritan house accept second hand gently used things? Like kitchen utensils, pans, clothes, etc? Cleaning out some things and would like them to go to good use. Thanks!
