It’s that time of the year again!

We’re now far enough into the season that anyone that’s serious about having a quality holiday lights display probably has lights and decorations setup. For the eighth straight year eBrandon has launched its Holiday Lights Map to give folks a chance to browse some of the better light displays in the city as well as easily figure out a route to go on a tour themselves. On Monday and Tuesday nights I went on a tour around the city and have added a handful of pictures that can now be seen by clicking on the link below and loading the map.

On the map you can also vote for as many displays as you like. Those votes are used to rank the order of the displays featured, so your help is appreciated. To vote, simply click on the bulb on the map for any given house and click on the “vote” link in the window that pops up. It's all in fun and if you like ten displays please vote for all ten..... but you can only once per display (I’m looking at you vote-rigging guy that I’ve had to watch out and correct for over the last few years ).

There are still a couple houses I haven’t been able to catch with their lights on and hope to add them within the next few days. You can also add a house on your own by clicking on the link in the right-hand column of the map.

Added a few more over the past day.

I see that the City will be turning on the Waterfall of Lights tonight... to be on from 5-11pm nightly. No skating oval yet in lieu of the weather.

Drove by the house on princess last night and stopped to watch and listen to it with the music. So cool! Way to go guys!! I think we're gonna come again tonight lol

Great to see people making use of the map.... I see there are over 1200 views on it already!

pussorboots: Thanks for the kind words! In eight years of doing the map the thing I've gotten to enjoy the most is how well-received its been by folks that put all the work into setting up displays. I'll do a drive tonight and do a new pic of your place along with a few others that have come up.

Sammy: Our little guy has really taken to music houses... In this nice weather we've made a habit of pulling up and rolling down the window for a minute or two so that he can have a listen.
Princess is a good one. Was surprised that you can pick up their radio station all the way to 1st & Victoria! Christie Bay is also very well done. There's one on Victoria Ave East, another on 22nd St just South of Richmond. I'm sure there are others (such as Jfd's place posted about above).... if anyone else knows of one please feel free to share

Added another tonight on Woodlands Drive that's quite well done with music.

Another house in Southern part of the city that isn't map-worthy but some might see it as getting points for, ummm, creativity:

Thanks, we will check those out! We really enjoy the ones timed with music...so cool!

My Inlaws live on elderwood so we go down there often...nice to see a street with so many lights!! The one on the end (truck in driveway says brymars I think??) is one of our fav's. So classy looking!

It's awesome to see the effort people put into their lights

our block of the street has very few but I can't really complain as we only have a bit on our house too. One year we will go out!! It's on the bucket list lol
