What are you looking for? Most stores will be open, "which I disagree with". You are a week away from then, I am sure you can get whatever it is you are looking for before New Years Day. I am sad to say I will be the only moron to respond to this.

im looking for any grochery store open that day. Its payday for me on friday and unfortunatly i do not have any money until then. And then i work every day after that so wont have time to shop.

you could call Shoppers Drug Mart, they may be open Jan.1. But other than 7-11 thats the only stores I think that may be open.

should be paid on Thursday not Friday

Friday is a stat holiday and I believe they should be paying you on Thursday. I would check into this because if so then you can go to the stores in Thursday to get your groceries.

I have asked my manager and she said it depends on the bank.. so im thinking it will be thursday which would be great. Thanks everyone

From the sign at the drive thru at 18th St S, Tims is open until 6pm on the 31st and reopen at 8am Jan 1

Walmart closed at 6 , MLCC will
Be 7, mall was 5, I believe Canadian tire was 5 as well. Sobeys sign said 9.. And I believe Tim Hortons was closing like at 7...

Most businesses closed New Years Day. Except for fast food places, some gas stations, restaurants and shoppers drug mart I believe is open.
