To all the wine lovers out their HELP please...

I am getting married in June and have been looking for awine to serve with my meal for my guests, I am not a wine drinker and I know nothing about it really. Someone told me that a wine called (excuse my spelling) Piet Le Dor? is a good wine that is not to expensive can anyone confirm this or suggest another type of wine? I am looking to spend around $8.00 a bottle!! Thanks for all your help
