Our new mayor invites our input/feedback on local issues & concerns.  
My general advice would be to focus on basic civic responsibilities at all times,but especially at budget time.These include roads,traffic,policing,snow removal,weeds,etc.  
Specific issues:  
-a better system is needed for pothole repairs & accelerated rebuilds  
-more synchronization of traffic lights is long overdue  
-police enforcement of intersection & pedestrian laws has been lacking in recent years,as well as public education of existing laws  
-downtown has safety issues/perceptions which must be discussed & dealt with before any renewal,revitalization or renaissance can be successful  
-downtown becomes inaccessable later in the winter season due to snow plowed onto the parking meter & curb areas  
 
I hope that this thread brings out lots of ideas rather than rehashing of old issues.
