This morning on the "Feedback" program on CKLQ a lady called in and stated how she wasnt on the voter's list. Upon hearing this the lady promptly decided she wasnt going to vote at all. She said she was given a piece of paper which one can only guess was a application for declaration so that she COULD be added on the voter's list.
When Bill asked this lady if she voted she said she didnt. She declined to sign this paper when Bill then brought up the point that her not signing the declaration probably means that in four years she probably wont be on the voter's list again
I bring up this incident to drive home the point that every vote counts. If this women would have swallowed her pride and signed the declaration she could have had her say.
Wouldnt it be awful if this person lives in the Riverview Ward and would have voted for Errol Black for Councillor in light of the looming recount in that ward with Errol currently trailing by a single vote
This scenario may or may not even be the case but it just drives home the point that EVERY person that is eligible to vote SHOULD do so. It would be a real shame if some one running for office loses a chance to continue serving their constituents.
If im living in Riverview right now and not only intended to vote yesterday but intended to vote for Errol Black, im feeling pretty sick right about now
