I feel lame posting this, but I’m tucking my ego aside and doing it anyway.  
 
I need some new friends post-divorce. My entire social circle consists of mutual married couples friends and their children. I love them to pieces, but this woman needs some new single friends as well. I have a professional career, and early teen children, and I’m wondering if there are others out there in the same boat.

Kinette club of Brandon is a fun group. We are a service club. We range in age from mid twenties and up. Professional women as well as students, homemakers: all walks of life. Our motto is “Serving The Communities Greatest Need.” We also have lots of fun while we are doing it. We meet the second Wednesday of the month. This is such a common problem in Brandon, and I suppose it's the same in most small cities.  
 
So much of what goes on is family-oriented, which is great, but when it comes to unattached adults, divorced or otherwise, it leaves much to be desired.  
 
I've lived in larger cities and frankly I really miss the atmosphere and opportunity that a good jazz club provides...hanging out at coffee shops just isn't my cup of tea! ha ha

I feel your pain. I have lots going on and keep pretty busy but sometimes its things not people that keep me that way

Most of my friends are in relationships or married, they all hang out together and do stuff with other couples. Us single ppl are like a spear tire with those friends only used when in a emergency.  
 
As i get older it get harder to meet and see new ppl. Fixed in our routine and comfort zone cause of abusive/bad break up/ or whatever the reason.

Are people just afraid to say the wrong thing, so they end up says no nothing at all?
