I absolutely agree with the above poster. Just recently vetted through 50+ emailed applicants, and the ones that had one document, pdf, resume & cover letter in one, was very much appreciated. A big long email I feel is a waste - put it in the cover letter and/or your resume.
Ensure you match your resume and letter to the posting, highlight all “required” skills. Make sure you include EVERYTHING. If computer skills is required, don’t assume because it’s clear you submitted and did it on Word, that we know you have those skills. The amount of applicants that didn’t indicate they could use Word/email etc was incredible.
Make sure you/your resume stands out, lots of competition. Be polite & professional.
