Hello eBrandonites! I have brought back a ceramic mug from the Middle East and it cracked in my luggage during my flights. Thankfully the other three survived as these are gifts. But this one mug chipped and cracked, and unfortunately this one was for me. Anyway... does anyone know where I can get the mug repaired? Is this even a thing? I know the crack will always be visible, but I’m hoping that it can be repaired to where I can use it to drink from as intended. Thank you in advance for your help!

I did a search on this just a couple of days ago. There is currently nothing food safe out there that will do a good job. Epoxy is your best bet, but then you have a display piece only.

I’ve seen this a couple times on youtube/Pinterest/etc that if you pour hot milk over it to cover the broken part leave it in the bowl of milk for 3-4 days. It will repair the ceramic naturally. I haven’t tried it myself but it’s worth a shot if it works. Google “how to fix a broke ceramic mug with milk” and you should see a video walking you through the steps. Hope it works and good luck
