I was shocked to see this on a hood of car in dollar store parking lot across from Walmart. It was painted on. I had to secretly take a picture as there was men inside.

Friendly Manitoba licence plate. It makes me sick.

I really don’t know who to report to. If you know please let me know.

reveals that the swastika is also an important Hindu symbol, especially for Diwali, which was last week. May have nothing to do with Nazis at all.

The swastika is a symbol of prosperity and good luck in Hinduism and Buddhism. In the 1930’s this symbol was “adopted” by the Nazi party and unfortunately when people see it automatically think of all things evil when that may not be the case.

was hijacked by the Nazi's. In the beginning of The Da Vinci Code with Robert Landon in a talk it shows how the symbol have many other uses before Nazi's used it. Along with many other symbols. Even though it's a movie, this part of the movie does show how symbols can be misinterpreted.

yes it is swastika.. Part of Hindu religion, and yes Diwali and New year waslast week as well.

That is why houses are lit up last week and the next few weeks. This is also no disrespect to Remembrance Day, but everyone needs to be mindful that Brandon has many many religions and respect each religions celebrations.

PLEASE educate yourself before assuming the wrong.

Image you posted shows 4 dots, one in each section of the swastika. This is, I believe, Hindu. The Nazi version did not include any dots. As well, this one is straight, not tilted as the Nazi one was.

Thanks to all who posted about how a swastika does represent something more positive than what is usually accepted.

As others pointed out, swastika with dots is part of the hindu culture. This swastika doesn't represent the hatred the nazis adopted and used it for.
