I have done some research on solutions but , would like to know what you have used that has been successful ?

Wouldn't addressing the source of gas odour get rid of the odour? Gas is highly volatile and evaporates/dissipates very quickly.  
 
If your house smells like gas and you don't know where it's coming from, you should probably get out and call someone.

it's not my house . it's a outbuilding that has been sitting awhile thinking of converting to a she shed .

This sounds like a very bad idea … you should call and get someone to check it out…. I wouldn’t even enter inside until somebody properly gave the “all clear”…. Just my thought, but this sounds scary…

First things first, its probably best to clarify what kind of gas smell you are experiencing, natural gas, propane, gasoline, diesel, etc.  
 
You mention its a shed, so my first assumption would be gasoline or diesel fuel that was being stored and leaked.  
 
In any case its probably best as others mentioned to keep any doors, windows or vents open to stop a buildup.  
 
If its natural gas or propane, is there a tank nearby that maybe has a leaking underground pipe near the shed ?  
 
When in doubt, try calling the non emergency fire department line, they might be able to arrange an inspection and test for leaks or point you in the direction of a department that can.

it's a shed that use to house lawn mower , chain saw that kind of odor left behind .

After airing out the shed you could try to  
paint it with a product called kilz it seals the wood covers stains an odors

If that's the case, like mentioned above it probably means some gas has spilled etc. It soaked into the wood in that case.  
 
The only certain remedy would be to replace boards,I would think. I wouldn't trust a product like Kiltz etc, as the fuel is ultimately still in the wood. It would be an accelerant.  
 
Also, do you know where your gas lines are? My main shed sits on top of the medium pressure gas line. It's fine for a shed, but you couldn't have a habitable space there. A She Shed probably fits the definition of a habitable space?
