So i was just going through some new music, and I finally reached a point where it is too frustrating to carry on without venting a bit. Has anyone else noticed that music has really taken a down turn within the past 5 years? Now everyone is likely going to say that it has been more like 30 years, but what I mean is the really new stuff. I just picked up a few new tracks, and am really disgusted with the absolute lack of creativity left in the popular music category. Has anyone actually written a new song in the past 5 years, outside of country and rock music? The entire pop music industry is based on sampling off someone else's creation, and artists are getting rich off of it. The Flo rida's/Rihannas/Timbalands of the world really need to re-evaluate the way they are producing music, before all people of this generation lose touch with music completely. Maybe I am simply ranting, but does anyone else feel the same way?
