Fishing spot???

Can anyone help? I use to go fishing near Rivers Mb a longtime ago and want to go back to a certain area but have forgotten where it is. There was a kind of a dam or a wooden type flooring that the river went over. This created a kind of ladder for fish to swim up.
Was a great area for fishing. Kind of a rapids type area. Can anyone lep?
