Hi everyone! I'm looking for a recommendation for a confident hairdresser who can give me a great cut. Please don't just recommend your friend/relative etc who cuts hair just to get their name in here: i'm looking for an actual recommendation based on your experience. I'm really looking for someone who has experience and talent with modern cuts, someone who will take a look at the picture I show them and say 'Yep let's do it!', rather than what I usually seem to get, which is 'well, that's a lot to take off so let's start with a couple of inches and see what you think'.  
 
I've uploaded a picture of the style i'm looking for...it's nothing crazy but is very layered and not just an average trim. I've got long fairly thick hair. If you know someone who I should go see, let's hear it! Thanks everyone!

I personally see Jackee. She's done nothing but great things with my hair, always down for something new and not afraid to make "big" cuts. Check them out on Instagram or Facebook

I would suggest Rose.... she owns her own salon and is very up to date and she always has great ideas for things to do that will give you a "I look great" attitude..... 204-740-8966

I second her!!! She did a burgundy/purple combo, and paired it with a gorgeous cut. I feel completely secure telling her "just do whatever" and she nailed it each time.

Chelsea at bodicures is amazing. I started going to her as I was unhappy with my previous hair dresser and she did an amazing job! her price is very reasonable and she is really good at getting my hair very very close to the picture. Ps I always do blonde and what I love the most is that she does fine highlights not bluky ones. shes very precise.

Amazing cuts and colours everytime!

Highly recommend Kristen Spence at Envy!  
Not afraid to change things up, she is a KAO instructor as well, so she is very current in terms of ongoing education.  
The first time I sat in her chair she cut all my hair off to donate it. I say it takes guts to chop a client's hair from mid back to pixie cut the first time they sit if your chair.  
She has never shyed away from anything I have wanted to try!

Did you mean she's at Vivid Beauty Boutique? Kristen is at Vivid.  
I love Kristen and that's who I'd recommend too. My daughter and I both go to her. My daughter has long, super thick hair and Kristen has been amazing with it, and she is fantastic at colour as well! She is a colour specialist/instructor. Highly recommended!

She has her own shop called Roses on 9th just off of Rosser I believe. She is amazing, I wont let many people touch my hair either.

I went to a series of hair salons, none of whom were able to really give me a cut that I was able to easily manage at home. Kristen understood exactly what I wanted, and gave me great cuts and also did some really cool colouring of my hair. I recommend her highly!

I've seen both Jackee and Rose and they are both absolutely amazing. The picture you put up is very similar to what Jackee did on my hair (cut and colour) and what I plan to go back to her for soon. I've heard Kristen is also incredible so you can't go wrong with any of them. I would look up their pages on Facebook or instagram if you have and see what you think. I think they are all very confident and talented in what they do. I know what you you're saying. I've gone to people who do not seem confident and you wonder what you'll come out with.
