Manitoba Lakes named after fallen soldiers

They have named some northern Manitoba lakes after fallen Canadian Soldiers.

They do not often make note of this quote below in the media:
"The province has more than 4,000 lakes, rivers, bays and peninsulas named after World War II and Korean War casualties, as well as one soldier who died during a United Nations peacekeeping mission".
I am happy to see that they have designated these waters in memory to fallen soldiers, but I still think it was in poor taste to name a lake after that hockey player, *before* designating un-named lakes towards Canadian Soldiers.
