I think that it is worth mentioning an event that will be taking place this weekend in Brandon. It will be a lot of fun and will help promote a green lifestyle!  
Sunday, April 19th at Princess Park from noon until five, the Brandon and Area Environmental Council along with the City of Brandon Environment Committee are hosting an event for Earth Day.  
There will be storytelling, displays (hybrid cars), draws for a bike, free compost, green lawn care, and an art area for kids. There is also an escape artist, Dean Gunnarson, who will be at the event.  
It is asked that you bring your own plate and cup in order to reduce waste, all in the spirit of Earth Day.
