public transit

I'd love to see a public transit system in Brandon that is user friendly. I tire of seeing mere benches sitting half in and half out of ditches that we call "bus stops". Why not offer some protection from the elements. Even a simple roof on four posts would do the trick, or box in one end to offer wind protection as well. After all, we are due south of the Keewatin region of the arctic which does host some of the coldest temperatures on the planet. On the topic of the bus stops I think they also need to be lit adequately so to offer some safety to the people that are huddled waiting for a bus. I don't want to corner all the good ideas but how about quicker routes, less wait times, more direct services, longer operating hours, etc. I'd love to use the bus to do my part for the environment but I don't want to be hindered in doing so. I shouldn't have to go way out of the way of my destination to get where I want to go. I'm a dreamer - I know.
