I am wondering where the best place is to buy hostas, I checked the Green Spot but couldn't find any. I am also wondering what is a good price for them.

There is a lady who sells them at the Farmers Market at the town center. I believe it's now indoors vs the parking lot. If you speak with her, she has many other varieties often that she can dig for you. I've had great luck with hers, and reasonable priced. I believe she also sells on Facebook. I do know there are a few listed on Facebook Marketplace as well.

I agree check with garage sales as people often split the hostas when the get too big and do not have room for them all so sell the extras.

I got mine at Home Depot for $7 each, and they are doing great so far.

I think most people are referring to Valleyrimgirl, she has been selling her own hostas for years and years, and yes she is normally at the farmers market as well. She is advertising a plant sale on Saturday, you can see her ad at the link below. She normally has several dozen varieties of hostas at her sales, way more then what you would find at the greenspot, homedepot or canadian tire.

How fabulous of a sale are we talking? What are the sale prices? Are all plants on sale or just Hostas? Thanks.

We will have a perennial sale tomorrow at 31 Westbrook bay in Brandon 9-2. We will have 20 plus varieties of hostas as well as lilies, daylilies, peonies, hens and chicks, irises and all kinds of succulent arrangements.

Yes, I am the one who is at the Brandon Farmer's market in the Town Center with a table(s) of perennials each spring thru fall. We will be back there again in August.

What type of peonies are you selling?

I still have some left. Sorbet, Karl Rosenfield, Catharina Fonteyn and a couple Shirley Temple peonies. All $20 each.

I bought a hosta and peony at Walmart's garden center for $8.88 each . Both were healthy plants and are coming along very well . Half the price of other garden centers .
