I purchased one haskap berry bush at a nursery in neepawa...but they didn't mention I need 2 bushes for pollination ..when I read up about it I found this out. If anyone has lots of bushes and is willing to sell me one, I would appreciate it...thanks "
Congrats on the purchase!
Have got what I guess you could call a mini-orchard of them here and they're super easy to grow. Biggest thing is you have to eventually have a plan to keep the birds away or they'll devour (they love them even pre-ripe)....
and there's a bit of learning as far as when you pick them at peak ripeness/taste. Just a day or two too soon and they can be pucker-up bitter, but the right types can be quite great when you get them ripe.
As far as your pollinator, you'll need to start with figuring out which type you have (there are quite a few). Then check out the chart at the link below under the heading "what haskap varieties are pollinizers" to see what types are your options as a pollinator for your plant:

For plants, the local nurseries and Can Tire have been known to carry for pretty good prices in past years. Another option if you're ever near Portage would be to get in touch with Riverbend Orchards. Licensed haskap propagator, great to deal with, know their stuff and very reasonably priced:

Good luck!
