Did anyone buy soil from east landfill?look for soil for backyard garden.pleas tell me more information.thanks!

They have compost, not soil. You can’t use it straight to garden, about 5 parts normal topsoil to 1 part compost.

We got some and they guy at the gate told us people use it straight all the time. So we did for our raised beds and pots. I have lots of luck with it so far.  
 
You have to shovel it into the back of your truck yourself so take a spade or shovel. Truck full was about $20 so it is very cheap.

We purchased a few truck loads last year and redid all our bedding areas. I didn't get fancy, just put it down 100% with no normal soil and the plants absolutely loved it and exploded. This year things are slow in general due to the late spring but we didn't change anything out or add any new material. They seem happy enough so far though. I expect we will have to add some new stuff next year though.  
 
I cannot remember the cost but I did take a half-ton truck and loaded it full in 36degree heat, lol. If you only have a car or suv take as many large pails as you can find with you and lay down a tarp as it will be messy. They will weigh you in and out and the cost is based on weight.
