Reading today's Brandon Sun and they mentioned air-service, or lack thereof. The issue is whether the demand id there and should governments be invlolved. My answer to this is a BIG FAT NO! They have to have a solid business plan to bring the service here.
As a note, it was cheaper to fly from Edmonton to Winnipeg than to drive back. Myself, I'd rather drive the 12 hours to get to Calgary or Edmonton. I honestly don't think the demand is there. To quote Merv Tweed:"Government does not pick and choose to go in and out of markets." Any thoughts on the great air debate?
