I've been starting to buy more salmon recently and was doing some research that said wild salmon is healthier for you than farmed. I've been going to Superstore for salmon, but don't really like buying my meat there. Any suggestions on where to go for fresh fish in general in Brandon or even where to buy wild salmon? What's the price difference?

We're practicing Catholics, so we eat lots of fish, LOL. But sadly, I haven't found a good place to buy good qualify fresh fish locally. I often resort to buying canned salmon to get wild-caught.  
 
If you're in Winnipeg, it's generally worth the trip to Gimli Fish Market. Bring a cooler.

My wife and I have a salmon day every Friday, we prefer skin on salmon in a big slab and really only sobeys, Safeway and coop has this readily in stock every week. We almost always end up getting it from sobeys. We recently have inquired about the source of the salmon as we too have the same concerns, since we prefer Atlantic salmon, and you can’t buy wild Atlantic on the market, we are stuck with farmed fish. Sobeys gets their fresh frozen Atlantic salmon from mariner neptune and it’s farmed via open-net pens which are not good for the environment. I’m currently trying to find an alternative that is has a “Seafood Watch - Good Alternative” certification/rating but I have not found any yet.
