Nuts and Bolts

Heres my recipe.
Start with turning oven on to 250 degrees
Next start melting 1/2 lb butter with 1 cup vegetable oil on a low heat.
Mix in a large roaster 8 cups cheerios,8 cups shreddies,8 cups crispix add a bag of mix nuts and another bag of peanuts.
I also like to add pretzels my favorite are the old dutch butter pretzels but the kids prefer the regular so I add both.At the same time I try to maintain enough room to stir the batch in the roaster.
Salt Mixture- 2 tablespoon onion salt,2tablespoon garlic salt,2 rounder tablespoon of celery salt mix all together.I put the salts in a shaker for ease of use later.
Back to the butter and oil it should be melted by now so take 2 tablespoon of Lea and Perrins worcestershire sauce and mix in.
Next pour a little of the butter over the batch and then sprinkle some of the salt on the batch.Turn the batch over try and pull the stuff from the bottom up. Repeat this procedure 5 to 6 times till you have used up all the butter and salt. Now put the lid on roaster and place in oven. After 20 minutes turn oven down to 225 degrees and give the batch a mixing up.After another 20 minutes give the batch
another mix and repeat in 20 minutes again.1hr has passed and you should still be cooking with the lid on for the next hour remove lid and mix batch every 20 minutes.Done and remove from oven. Now I dare ya Just try and have one.
Now over the years I have tried subsitute but found powder to be bland vs salt and canola oil a waste of time it has to be vegetable oil mix with the butter or just the whole lb of butter not margerine.
Good Luck and I hope you all enjoy.
