Some businesses..

I'm having trouble with a couple of businesses in town trying to book things for my wedding.
I have called them, emailed them, left messages, at least a dozen times with no response. I've talked to other people who have called once and left a message and gotten a response right away.
I don't know if it's right for me to name the businesses off, but any ideas for trying to get some service from businesses? I would go elsewhere, but they both kind of have a monopoly in their fields...
