What is the legal age requirement to attend a social in Manitoba? Basically asking if kids are allowed… I called they said no but my partner is saying yes kids can go.

At least when we had ours. Everyone attending needed to have a ticket before coming to the location and photo ID showing they were 18. I've never seen kids at a social.

You said you called and they said no. That's your answer.

Been a few years but kids were allowed at our wedding social down at the Ukranian Reading Hall. Possible things have changed. If the venue is telling you it's 18 then I would go with that. Congrats by the way.

There may be different public health limitations on number people allowed to attend,  
 
Only fully vaccinated people will be able to attend so that in its self limits to 12 and over.  
 
You will have to check for proof of vaccination at door and deal with angry people who have already bought tickets.. Hiring a security guard at front door would be a good idea.  
 
I would make it really clear on the ticket that you have to be fully vaccinated to attend. The fines are pretty high for not following public health regulations

Law takes a very hard stance on all of these. Plus the law always in place that you are responsible to make sure no one drinks too much and drives.  
 
the other public regulations like wearing masks the whole time unless eating or drinking at the table they are sitting at, have hand disinfectant at front door, at bar and at meal table at least. A step further is on every table.  
 
Personally I would have box of masks available in case someone forgot theirs,  
 
I have no idea how much it would cost but at the wedding event for the people who came a cloth mask saying your names or marriage date. Would be a something different.
