Wedding thank yous

Please ladies remember the "Thankyou" notes. It seems the last few (four) weddings I have been to, only one bride sent a thankyou. Two I could not attend because of other social commitments, but I still sent a gift (monetary).I would have really appreciated an small acknowledgement.I believe the time limit is around a month after the festivities.
